Ponderings...

While I just plain enjoyed the Bond film last night, it also elicited a rather unusual response from me. The film takes place in several different countries. The more I watched, the more I realized how much I'd like to be in such places...even the Third World nations. I DO NOT miss the war...but I found myself missing the experience of being in another country. I think I prefer, at least part of the time, the feel of other places. America feels so impersonal, so cold, most of the time. Everyone rushes about, wrapped up in their busy-ness. There seems to be so much more interpersonal contact and life in some other countries...even when there is great poverty. It makes me give some very serious thought to what I want to do with myself in the future, and reinforces an idea I had some months ago...

Hmmm.
