This is my "Wednesday" at work...thank God tomorrow is my "Friday". Yesterday was hugely busy...we transferred thirteen patients upstairs to the wards (yeah, we were popular). Brought about eight new ones in. I was the only aide. Made for a whole lot of tired.
We started off today with a code...a patient from OHSU, they use a couple of our wards upstairs, and this patient (who was in with TB pneumonia *grrr*) was too unstable to make it across the sky bridge to OHSU...and I ended up busy helping with that until we took the patient over to their ICU. That was a long way to push a bed and an IV pole. I got my workout for the day. The rest of the day was...steady. Not like yesterday, but not as slow as I would have liked. I am tired.
Needless to say, we aren't doing much tonight for Valentine's Day. I made bacon, egg and cheese tacos, and some Mexican rice. Actually, a dinner Gina loves. We're watching Bill Engvall on the Comedy Channel. He is awfully funny.
Gotta' go to bed soon. I hope everyone's having a good Valentine's Day
