Shock jock Michael Savage, champion of conservatives, recently shared his thoughts with Americans on autism and children. According to him, 99% of autistic children are just a bunch of brats who haven't been made to behave.
If you think about it, this is what makes America great, folks. Even a man of such limited reasoning ability as Mr. Savage is allowed to spew his ignorant diatribe in a public forum. And get paid (handsomely) for it.
What amazes, and saddens me, is that so many people listen, and give credence to conservative mouthpieces and their agendas of fear, ignorance and hate. I wonder if these poisonous orators actually think they are espousing the values that once made America great? Or are they just willing to sell themselves for a high enough price (and there's a name for people who do that...) to further someone else's plans?
I couldn't look at myself in the mirror if I lived my life like Mr. Savage, and those like him.
